Instructional Academy Sessions

GOLF CLUBS ARE PROVIDED.

• Announcing our Annual Junior Golf Academy at Meadowbrook Farms. Led by PGA Director of Instruction, Layne Ricks, the Academy will be a great way to introduce your junior to the game of a lifetime. Mr. Ricks and his staff of highly trained golf professionals have been teaching golf for over 30 years, and have given thousands of individual and group lessons.
• The Academy will emphasize fun and fellowship, along with teaching the fundamentals of a sound golf swing. There will be daily games and events, along with some indoor “classroom” sessions on etiquette and the rules of the game.
• Interested Juniors ages 6-17 are eligible to attend the Academy. The Juniors will be grouped according to age and ability level. The 6-8 year olds will be a part of our “Young Linksters” Division.
• Daily, the Academy will consist of putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, and classroom. There will always be a maximum student to teacher ratio of 10 to 1. Drills and games will be used to demonstrate and promote proper technique.
• Each session will run Tues-Fri 9:00-12:00 of the designated week. Each day, the session will start at 9:00 a.m and end at 12:00 noon
• Juniors should arrive and be ready by 9:00 a.m. daily. If needed, golf clubs will be provided, but we encourage Juniors to bring their own. If the Junior does not have golf shoes, tennis shoes will be acceptable. Golf Attire is required.
• On Friday, the last day of each session there will be an awards ceremony including refreshments at 11:45 a.m. At this time, completion certificates will be given out. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
• All Junior golfers will receive a registration package including program outline, completion certificate, and four days of instruction by our PGA trained golf professionals. A refreshment break consisting of a snack and fruit juice will be given out daily to each junior. The Learning Facility at Meadowbrook Farms will be the site of this instruction, which is one of the finest golf practice facilities in the area.

The cost for each session per Junior is as follows: $300 or $280 for members of Meadowbrook Farms.
